GCHS Rams Athletic Booster Club -- What We're All About

The Grayslake Central High School Athletic Booster Club was started in 1981 by parents and friends interested in enhancing the athletic programs at GCHS. Our goal is to generate funds that may be used to purchase items that are not in the budgets of our athletic programs. Some of our purchases over the past few years include:

  • Weight Room Equipment
  • PA System
  • Baseball Scoreboard
  • Softball / Baseball Battings Cages
  • Track Pole Vaults
  • “GCHS” and “RAMS” lettering on new Athletic Field
  • Travel Bags for various sports
  • SkyHawk & APEX software for Football
  • Track / Cross-Country Tents
  • Training software
  • …and more!

As you can see, we  raise money for all sports and we need help from parents of all GCHS athletes. Most of our money is generated by concession stands that are operated by volunteers. We also have a Wearable program, and will be holding our Annual “Hoops Fest” basketball tournament for grades 5 through 8 in March.

Without the help of our athletic parents, none of this would be possible. We encourage parents of our athletes to get involved with the Booster Club. Not only are you helping your children and the athletic programs, but it’s a great way to get to know fellow parents and your child’s coaches and teachers!
